From preadmission to postoperative care, Mission Regional Medical Center’s
Surgical Services provides comprehensive, individualized treatment for
every patient. This care most often begins during pre-admission, where
registered nurses interview patients several days prior to their
scheduled hospital visit. These nurses gather patient information
and relay important pre-surgery instructions. By carefully following
these instructions, each patient plays a significant role in the success
of their procedure.
Mission Regional Medical Center’s Surgical Services oversees 6 state
of the art in-patient operating suites, all staffed by registered
nurses and Certified Surgical Technicians. These operating suites
employ state-of-the-art equipment, so physicians and the surgical
team can create a safe, controlled environment for every patient.
Today, improved procedures and techniques allow many patients to
have surgery on an outpatient basis. For these patients, Mission
Regional Medical Center’s offers patients the same quality and
high standards maintained by our inpatient surgical program, but
in a more convenient setting.
