Here at Mission Regional Medical Center, we know how difficult it can be to spend nights away from home, so we will try our best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Our Doctors and Nurses will attend your needs. If your needs were to change during your hospitalization, you will be transferred to a hospital better suited to care for you.

While at the Hospital, a Patient may share a Room with another Patient. Private Rooms may be available upon request. Availability of Private Rooms depends on demand. All Patient Rooms (with the exception of ICU Rooms) have a television and telephone. Toiletries, such as toothbrushes, deodorant and hair combs are available at a small charge.


Mission Regional Medical Center and its surroundings offer a variety of choices for guests seeking a place with food and snacks.

The Mission Regional Medical Center Cafeteria is located on the First Floor. Everything from Snacks to a complete Meal is available at our Cafeteria.

Dinner	4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Snack Vending Machines are located outside the Hospital Cafeteria. Soft drinks, juices, sandwiches, candy, and other snacks are available.


Mission Regional Medical Center needs your help in protecting your valuables and personal belongings. We recommend that your valuables and personal belongings be left at home. Items such as wallets and purses containing credit cards, checkbooks and large amounts of cash, as well as jewelry, are better kept in your home. During your stay at the Hospital, you will not need these items. Therefore, please follow our recommendations and take these precautions.

Bags for your Personal Belongings (clothes, etc.) are available. Please make sure that all belongings are properly labeled with your name.

If you have misplaced a personal item, you may call our Hospital Security at (956) 323-1777.


An Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) is located at the Patient Registration Lobby, near the Main Entrance. The ATM is available for use 24 hours a day.

For the comfort of our patients, please observe these visiting guidelines:

• It is recommended that there are only 2 guests in the Patient Room per visit.
• Children under the age of 13 must always be under the supervision of an adult (except ICU).
• Children under the age of one will not be allowed in the Patient Areas, unless visiting the Maternal Child Department.

There are several Waiting Rooms for a Patient’s Family and Friends throughout the Hospital. Please refer to our Visitor Guide for locations. You may also ask for assistance from our Guest Services Associate, who will direct you to the Waiting Room appropriate for you.
